IndieVerse — אינדיוורס
An operating system for independent productions that brings together, in one place, the project, the people, the budget, the schedule and the value each partner contributes.
The story
Why does this initiative exist?
IndieVerse is a platform for creators, producers and crew working on independent film and television productions. It connects the production process — from script and breakdown, through budget, schedule and crew, to commitments, investments and payments — into a single system with a shared source of truth. The system tracks not only money but also work, contribution and rights, and allows you to see in real time the project's status and who is sharing in creating its value. The first MVP focuses on the connection between Budget + Schedule, and later IndieVerse expands to a map of professionals, investments and Exchange.
The world they want to see
A world where creators and crew can build, finance and retain the value of their work over time — where work, knowledge, equipment, networks, time and money are all forms of value that can be identified and recorded; where those who invested in a project at a stage when there was no money do not disappear from the picture when the funds arrive; and where an independent project can grow inside a network of creators, investors, suppliers, communities and local businesses without giving up its independence. We want to transform the industry from a pyramid where most power and value are concentrated in the hands of financers, distributors and intermediaries — into a Universe where creators and crew are at the center, and the rest of the market operates around them as a supportive service system.
What isn't working today
The existing system knows how to measure money much better than it knows how to measure value. Years of writing and development, work done on deferred payment, equipment and services contributed to a project, professional relationships and community contribution — all of these make a project possible, but are often not recorded as assets and are not translated into ownership or participation in the future value created. At the same time, independent creators lack the infrastructure that a major studio has: financial, legal and accounting management, access to capital, purchasing power, insurance, rights management and distribution. The result is that creators and crews bear a large share of the risk in the early stages, but when a project accumulates value the power can shift to entities that hold capital, infrastructure or market access.
What they want to change
IndieVerse wants to create a new economy for independent creation: an infrastructure where the value produced over a project's lifecycle is documented, measurable and divisible, and where those who created it can remain partners in it. Every project becomes a living economic unit that connects work, budget, investment, rights and resources; crew members can receive recognition for work that wasn't fully paid; investors can transparently see what has already been invested and the project's status; and projects can share services, equipment, capital and knowledge within a broader network.
Needs
What we need now
- NeedCommunity
Partners to build a new economy for independent creation — technology, investment, regulation, industry and the creative community.
We are looking for partners who want to take part in building IndieVerse's infrastructure: creators and producers who will test and shape it from the field; technology and fintech people; legal, regulatory and tax experts; investors and strategic partners; and industry bodies, communities and businesses that can integrate into the ecosystem. The goal is to gradually build a system where work, money, equipment and resources can become documented value, and creators and crew remain partners in the value they create.
Offers
What we can offer
- OfferTechnology
Technology
IndieVerse is developing an infrastructure that connects budget, tasks, crew, resources and the value created over a project's lifecycle. We can offer projects and creator communities a testing environment and tools that help map what already exists in a project, what is missing, who contributes what, and how work, money and resources fit into a single picture. Later, the same infrastructure is intended to enable resource sharing, investment, ownership and exchange of value created between projects within the Universe.
